HEATHER DAWSON

4IR.org SKILLS COACH SOCIAL INTELLIGENCE

Hi, I’m Heather Dawson your 4IR.org Social Intelligence Skills Coach. I’m passionate about working for a higher purpose and creating communities and workplaces of respect, collaboration, and connection.

Having grown up in a rural American Midwest farming community, I’ve spent the last 20 years living and working around the world as a senior executive in the fast-moving financial and professional services industries in the US, Australia and New Zealand. I’ve had the privilege of leading diverse teams and business divisions inside Fortune 500 companies and multinationals, launching start up divisions and transforming sales teams.

In addition to living and working in the real-world of business, in 2015 I became one of only 100 Certified Teachers with the highly acclaimed Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute based in San Francisco California (siyli.org).  Born at Google from one Engineer’s dream to change the world, Search Inside Yourself is now a globally-recognised program & network. Bridging age-old practices of mind training with modern neuroscience and technology, we help leaders develop critical emotional and social intelligence skills, bringing out the best in themselves, from the inside out.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, and a professional certificate in executive coaching from the Institute of Coaching and Coaching Psychology in Sydney, Australia.  I’m an alumni of Chief Executive Women (CEW), founding member of a mentoring organisation, Financial Executive Women, and the Co-Producer of the inaugural 2014 Summit for Conscious Capitalism Australia.

Most importantly, I have a personal commitment to practice what I teach, embodying the benefits of a well-balanced mind fully and the social intelligence capacities that enrich personal relationships for the greater good.

Along with my husband, Chris, and Boston Terrier, Stella, we call beautiful Sydney, Australia home.
