4IR.org SKILLS COACH COMPUTATIONAL THINKING
Hi, I’m Tanmay Baskhi your 4IR.org Computational Thinking Skills Coach. My passion lies in learning about and sharing the best ways to utilize and apply cognitive computing.
I am an algorithmist specializing in neural-network architecture, a published author, AI keynoter and TED speaker, Visiting Faculty Member at Grad Valley Data Science, IBM Honorary Cloud Advisor and the host of IBM’s most popular Facebook Live Series called ‘Watson Made Simple with Tanmay’ where I explain today’s most cutting edge technology in a way that people can understand and build themselves.
My passion for programming began when I started coding at the age of five after I fixed my school’s computers. Today I build applications engineered to augment human capabilities.
To date I have spoken to over 150,000 people live world wide about programming and its value for society.
My passion for learning and sharing through my YouTube channel, books, and other media has taught me how to best utilize and apply cognitive computing in fields ranging from banking and finance to healthcare and medicine to music.
I have trained over 7,500 people of my initial goal of training 100,000 aspiring developers to create their own solutions. And now as a member of the Future Work Skills Academy I will be leading you on a journey to increase your skillset and toolset in the important subject of Computational Thinking.
My passion projects include helping those with Rett Syndrome so they can ‘speak’ through the detection and interpretation of EEG signals analyzed by cognitive systems and a subject close to my heart: youth suicide prevention through depression mitigation using Artificial Intelligence.
I call Toronto, Canada home where I live with my elder sister, Mom and Dad.
